Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and lies on the Øresund strait. The best known sights gather in the inner city: Nyhavn, Amalienborg, Rosenborg Castle and Strøget. Tivoli sits beside the central station, and The Little Mermaid stands on the waterfront by Kastellet.
Staying centrally puts most of it within a short walk. Christiansborg and The Round Tower are in the middle of everything, and Christiania on the other side of the harbour.
